How to maintain your spa ?
Maintaining your spa is paramount. Preserving the material of your spa is necessary for your well-being, but also to optimize the duration of your spa. Just to dedicate a little of your time will be enough!
Take care of your spa water
The maintenance of your spa begins with the water. In fact, water quality is essential for the spa to function well, but it is equally important for your skin. This is done mainly thanks to the filtration system, which should be ideally cleaned once a week. Spa water has a fragile balance, it is necessary to check the pH regularly – which should be between 7 and 7.4 – in addition to the alkalinity and hardness.
You can then, if necessary, balance the pH with suitable products. Disinfecting the water of your spa is also an essential part of its maintenance, this is done with chlorine or bromine. Keep your spa water at a good level, add the recommended dosages for your spa anti-lime, anti-foam and anti-algae.
Take care of your spa : Cleaning
After water, your spa as a whole needs regular maintenance.
The bathtub is cleaned with the help of a siphon or sponge, chemicals are not necessary. You can always use a special spa product. The lid does not require the use of chemicals. A rinse with a stream of water and/or sponge is enough! You can use cleaning kits that could help you in this task, since all the material you may need will be included.
If you use your spa regularly, it is preferable to perform water drains at least once per quarter. If you do not use it during the winter months you would need to empty it, disconnect it and make sure to close it properly so that it is completely sealed and that no insects enter to stay there.
A spa enclosure might be also an excellent choice to save money and time to maintain your spa !
